Information for Graduate Students

Congratulations on your achievement!

This checklist serves as a reference to assist you through the commencement registration process. Participation in the commencement ceremony does not guarantee graduation from the University. All degree requirements must be met in order to receive your diploma. 

Ceremony Preparation

1. Order regalia from Herff Jones, for pickup from Oredigger Outfitters or shipped to your home
2. Complete everything on Tassel: Register with Tassel, our commencement event software. This site is where you RSVP for the ceremony, claim your tickets, join the ticket waitlist, confirm your name pronunciation, confirm your PhD advisor/co-advisor information (PhDs only).
   1. Go to the Tassel website
   2. Register as a NEW USER: click the “Please click here to register” link
   3. Enter your Mines email address, then click “Request Password”
   4. An email will be sent to you with instructions to create a password and access the site.
3. Update your info to receive Mines alumni communications
4. Fill out a survey for the Career Center
5. Enjoy the Commencement Ceremony in Lockridge Arena. You have earned it!

Please note that attendance at a commencement ceremony does not guarantee that your degree has been granted. All degree requirements must be met and verified before diplomas are printed.
